Job Summary ⇒ Turaco is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst with
experience in data analysis and business intelligence. The role reports to
Turaco’s Insurance Operations Manager in Uganda and will help to inform
decision-making and solve business problems by building a data warehouse,
converting data into information, manipulating large data sets, creating
necessary reports, and building decision models
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Ensure all institutional clients submit data on time.
⇗ Review and validate customer data as it is collected.
⇗ Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data.
⇗ Analyze data for internal users.
⇗ Analyze data to identify business problems and provide solutions.
⇗ Develop monthly billing reports for all partnerships.
⇗ Implement new data analysis methods.
⇗ Maintain full documentation for BI solutions and related services.
⇗ Provide IT support to internal resources.
⇗ Develop and track on a regular basis the key performance indicator for
Turaco Operations.
⇗ Develop management dashboards as appropriate to facilitate decision making
and action.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science
or Business Analytics. Required
⇗ At least three years’ experience working in analytics.
⇗ Data Science certification an added advantage
⇗ Knowledge of programming and data analytical tools is a MUST.
⇗ Knowledge of advanced MS Office particularly Excel and Power point is a
MUST.
⇗ Strong computer skills with good knowledge of IT troubleshooting
⇗ Ability to analyze figures, trends, and data to draw conclusions for
management.
⇗ Ability to work with large amounts of data and provide key insights from
it.
⇗ Experience in developing and improving operational delivery processes.
⇗ Ability to work autonomously and take initiative, demonstrate self-
motivation and energy, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
⇗ Problem solving skills
⇗ Writing clear, comprehensive reports showing results from analyzed data.
