Job Summary

Responsible for planning, designing, and managing VAS/IN platforms with emphasis on service reliability, capacity optimization, budgeting, vendor coordination, secure integration, platform resilience and redundancy, business product design, and ensuring alignment with company strategic objectives, while also providing leadership support to the VAS/IN technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and dimension charging systems and VAS platforms to support new products and services.
• Plan and architect the VAS/IN network infrastructure to support growth in traffic, subscribers, and service capacity.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the VAS/IN technical team.
• Conduct research and feasibility studies for new services, producing technical reports.
• Lead the design of Value-Added Services (SMSC, USSD GW, IVR, CRBT, etc.).
• Develop Functional and Technical Specification Documents for new products.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams for technical alignment.
• Monitor platform performance metrics and validate statistics for capacity planning.
• Prepare budget estimates for procurement and deployment of new platforms.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or Computer Science.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in VAS and IN (Charging Systems) platforms.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• 5+ years in a Mobile GSM Network environment.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in UNIX, Solaris, Linux, and shell scripting.
• Advanced understanding of Telecom protocols (SS7, Diameter, SIP, SMPP).
• Database administration (Oracle, MySQL).
• IP networking principles and programming (Python, Java, PHP).
