Job Summary

Under the direction of the Finance Director, prepare analyses and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and providing insights for informed decision-making and University growth.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordination of the drawing up and managing the University Budget
• Maintain and Present books of Accounts for Auditing
• Give regular financial reports
• Supervision of Staff in the Finance Department
• Coordination of the Implementation and Development of Financial and operational management systems
• Coordinate and Implement Financial policies
• Maintaining and updating the University’s Asset Register
• Computing the value of the University’s Physical Assets
• Assists with the accounts payable, revenue collection and financial administration functions of the department

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Master’s Degree in finance and accounting
• Full Professional Qualifications in Accounting and Finance
• Evidence of Membership with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda.
• Membership with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is an added advantage
• A minimum of five (5) year’s qualification experience.
• Extensive Computer knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Vision Excel, Word, PowerPoint, other accounting software is required
