Key Responsibilities

• Perform and report daily, weekly, monthly profit and loss analyses, including review of new deal activity and ensuring profits/losses are supported by market data.
• Perform balance sheet substantiation exercises, including independent price verification review and valuation adjustments/provisions per IFRS.
• Monitor product Balance Sheet and Income Statement account movements, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations to verify product balances against source systems (Calypso, Prime, etc.).
• Proactively manage Banking book Forex risk monitoring and reporting.
• Reconcile GM accounting system and core banking system entries.
• Conduct front office back-office accounting reconciliation and alignment.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

• First Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field
• ACCA Level 2, CPA Level 2, or CFA Level 1 (ACI dealing certificate is an added advantage)

Experience & Competencies

• Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
• Working knowledge of SAP, Finacle, and Calypso (preferred)
• 1+ year post-professional exam qualification experience (advantageous)
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
